Hunter Belt – Suede

The Hunter Belt – Suede captures all of the functional aspects of a medieval belt, and takes the extra step of adding a soft and evolved touch. While the Hunter Belt in full-grain leather has a pronounced ruggedness to it, this suede edition is understated, and stands out amongst other belts. It is an accessory that will not compete for attention, but adds a characterful detail to your overall outfit — the small variations that will make an outfit feel more authentic as a whole.

The leather for the belt is real suede leather, so it has weight for a thick leather, but it also has flexibility. Suede has a matte surface, which helps it immediately stand out amongst polished leather. The way the light hits suede is natural and understated, and the finish has a texture that is perfectly suited for the kind of applications where gear is meant to become worn, practical, and carried miles down the road. This quality can be especially appealing if you want your kit to have worn-in stories — be it of a capable ranger wandering in the wild, a seafaring pirate washing up with the saltwater and spray still in their clothes when they come ashore, or a commoner whose belt has held for years'.

Similar to the Hunter Belt - Leather, the Hunter Belt - Suede was intended to be functional, and more than decorative. The cut makes it wide enough to add presence for wearing over tunics, coats, or gambesons, and it won't tweak or slide while you move; we employed a double-buckle closure to allow more secure fitting, so that if you're running, sparring, or hauling your gear, you will not have to worry if it will slide beyond where you want it to be. The durability of suede leather means that even if you're loading it with scabbards, pouches, or frogs, it will be stiff enough for you to haul everything you desire. 

Suede can be worn comfortably as well. The surface of is a little soft, making it more pleasant for longer days at events without the wear and tear of friction, and the leather will mold to you waist naturally. Additionally, we offer this product in brown and black, so it will be easy to match your character's look. The brown suede carries an earthier, weathered appeal, making it a ideal option for adventurers, woodsmen or sellswords; while the black suede has a sharper, darker appeal, suitable to rogues, pirates, or any character leaning towards dramatic dramatics.
