Landsknecht Gorget - Yoremade Edition

The Yoremade Landsknecht Gorget is a protective collar built for the battlefield, not just to defend the throat and upper chest, but to support the posture and bearing of those who lead from the front. With its geometric front plate and articulated collar, it draws from 16th-century gorget forms worn by soldiers, captains, and mercenaries throughout the Holy Roman Empire and beyond.

This gorget features a bevor-style front plate that shields the upper sternum and clavicle while maintaining a clean, structured silhouette. Three overlapping lames rise around the neck, offering solid coverage without restricting movement. Whether you’re glancing side to side or raising your chin to speak, the collar moves with you.

To maintain weight and pressure balance, the backplate mirrors the front in shape and protection. This balance helps keep the gorget secure around the collar without sliding or shifting during movement, an especially welcome feature during long days of activity or when wearing layered costumes.

Made from 1.6 mm polished steel, this gorget offers greater durability than our standard line, with the same attention to fit and wearability. It fastens with adjustable leather straps and steel buckles at the sides, making it easy to wear over a gambeson, padded jacket, or arming doublet.
